I am Mantuana with Patricia Manley

Episode 70 - The 5 levels of Redundancy
Being made redundant is not an easy experience. We go through different stages until we finally accept it and move on with our lives.
Although it is a stressful experience, it allows us to re-train, gain new skills and explore work opportunities in different industries.
In this episode, I want to help you overcome the different levels of redundancy and show you how you can take advantage of it. I'll also be talking about my personal experience, in which I lived twice amid the pandemic, and how this led me to start my podcast and coaching business.
Remember, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS
[2:04] My own experience dealing with redundancy.
During the pandemic, I lived this experience twice, something that I thought would never happen to me at the moment. However, I'm grateful this happened to me because it helped me get to where I am today.
[12:57] What are the five levels of redundancy?
Being fired, for many, is like the loss of a loved one. Therefore, these levels or stages are similar to the grief ones, they range from denial to acceptance.
[28:13] Why is clarity so important before starting a new job?
It is important because it gives you the possibility to enjoy your next job more. Ask yourself what you want to do with your life and start working on it.
FIVE LEVELS OF REDUNDANCY AND HOW TO COPE WITH THEM
[13:43] Denial.
[15:28] Anger.
[17:52] Bargaining.
[21:25] Sadness.
[23:35] Acceptance.
